The essence...

Millions of Cameroonians are products of the Anglo-Saxon educational system and culture.

Over the decades, more and more young people pass through this system of education and come out refined men and women.

Twenty-Five Years After is the melting pot where alumni of secondary and high schools of Anglo-Saxon descent through the national territory will reconnect to celebrate the essence of that system.

A system entrenched in us irrespective of what secondary or high school we attended. In the spirit of the sporting event (OSUCS), we will compete in different professional fields to show the uniqueness of the mold that was used to create this peculiar DNA.

In honor of all our “Bigs” who watched over us, and the “Smalls” we groomed to become “Watchers” years after, the mentor-mentee relationship which was cultivated in a tender age is being reincarnated.

If we could put the meagre resources together to organize a “Boom” or “Bouggie” successfully 25 years ago, we can pull an even bigger business venture now that we are wiser, have a better understanding of how wealth works, and have built unbreakable bonds over years of camaraderie to transition us from independency to interdependency: taking this into account, collective and sustainable growth is eminent.

Be it in the form of “La Voix” or “Vibes”, we will celebrate our amazingness by shining a light on those who have made outstanding achievements in different entrepreneurial sectors and new entrants in the business of blazing trails to inspire the younger generation and rekindle flickering candles to keep the flames of success burning.

It is time for our achievements to be rewarded, for our stories to be told, for the narrative of who we really are be redefined through the magic of the passage of time.

In hindsight, it was a simple but yet an amazing time of our lives back in the day. We are about to make it even better today. The atmosphere is charged with prospects of reconnecting 25 YEARS AFTER where classmates, schoolmates and friends will work, compete and succeed together, to build a more inclusive and sustainable community and society.
